The story behind the Fuzhou designs
Traditionally used to deter enemies during the Qing Dynasty, Fuzhou junks had a clever tactic. Painted on to the sides of junk boats, a cannon hole shape was used to give the impression that boats were armed to avoid being occupied by pirates.
As an integral part of Asian maritime history it was only fitting that the new collection feature a range of Fuzhou designs. Dedicated to the
traditional shape that influenced these
geometric tile prints, the designs are available in 3 colours ways. The colours of the designs are representative of the ocean and its ever changing nature.
