Haven't planned anything for Chinese New Year but have realised everyone else is away?  This year the public holidays fall on, Tuesday 5th Feb to Thursday 7th Feb, the perfect excuse for a short break, or take two days and enjoy the full week in paradise. 1. SINGAPORE

 

For a quick trip and reasonably short flight, Singapore is a popular pick. With a fairly diverse population the Chinese New Year festivities celebrate old & new traditions. 

Aside from the CNY celebrations Singapore has a an abundance of things to see and do; from visiting the Botanical Gardens to eating at a Michelin-stared restaurant, the city has a lot to over.

2. PHUKET

 

Popular especially this time of year, Phuket is a great choice is warm weather and beautiful scenery is your oasis. Definitely take advantage of the stunning natural parks and breathtaking cliffs, why not take a boat and tour the many islands that surround coast.

3. SYDNEY

 

If you plan on taking the extra two days why not take full advantage of the week and travel a little further afield. The summer in Sydney is in full swing and what better way to beat the January blues than by exploring down under in the sunshine? Partaking in the Chines New Year festivities be sure to spot the many landmarks that have been decorated in red along with the Lunar Lanterns dotted around the city.  

 

Why not take a dip in Bondi Icebergs Pool or take a coastal walk or if you're feeling really adventurous take a ride into the Blue Mountains.
